Sónia Magalhães
Managing Partner
Sónia holds a Bachelor's Degree in Management from ISCTE. She led FastTrack Ventures as Founder and Managing Partner, mentoring over 100 startups across FinTech, HealthTech, Smart Cities and the Circular Economy, and served as an Executive Board Member of Sports Stars Media plc, leading its listing on the AIM London Stock Exchange. She brings over two decades of experience in venture capital, private equity, corporate finance, M&A, startup acceleration and cross-border fund structuring, with expertise in alternative assets, deep-tech, digital finance and ESG-aligned investments.

Prior to joining Octanova, she spent nearly twenty years at Edmond de Rothschild as an accountant and member of the middle-office team. Her experience included processing securities transactions, settlement, reconciliations and monitoring cash and positions.

Prior to joining Octanova, he spent over twelve years at Barclays Capital in London as Managing Director and Global Head of FX Banks Sales, and went on to found Essencia Capital, Azur Capital and Tagus Capital.

Marcello holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and an MBA in Finance from INSEAD. She spent over three years at Mercer Portugal as an Investment Strategy Analyst, focusing on liability-driven investment strategies and longevity risk. She later joined iCapital’s Hedge Fund Finance team, working on the financial and operational management of hedge fund feeder structures and investor reporting.
